Unkinking the bracelet
First off, if your bracelet gets a kink, DON’T FORCE IT! If you can’t unkink it with your fingers, then don’t stand on it, hammer it, or use tools on it as this may damage the bracelet. Remove it from the watch head by pinching the quick-release levers inwards then follow the instructions below.
Single kink
- Get the links into this starting position shown below, with the kinked links above and the rest of the bracelet at a right angle below this.
- Rotate link A downwards, so that it forms curl in the bracelet as shown.
- Rotate link A back so that it is perpendicular with the link it was kinking with below.
- Straighten out the whole bracelet.

Double kink
- Get the links into this starting position shown below, with the kinked links above and the rest of the bracelet at a right angle below this.
- Rotate link A downwards, so that it forms curl in the bracelet as shown.
- Rotate link A back so that it is perpendicular to the link it was kinking with below.
- Straighten out the bottom link. Now you have a single kink.

Tripple kink
For those who have royally cocked up their bracelet 😂
- Get the links into this starting position shown below, with the kinked links above and the rest of the bracelet at a right angle below this.
- Rotate link A downwards, so that it forms curl in the bracelet as shown.
- Rotate the upper two links back so that they are perpendicular to the link it was kinking with below.
- Address each of the outer kinks as single kinks. See above.

L kink
If you got a single kink, and tried to resolve it the wrong way, it may result in an L kink. Resolving an L kink can damage the bracelet, so be careful and avoid these kinks at all costs!
- Holding the links below firmly, rotate link A 90°.
- You are now back to a single kink. Follow the steps above.

Sizing the bracelet
To size the bracelet, you’ll need a small screwdriver. We recommend a 1.2mm size driver for the screws on the removable links. Once you have got a good fit, we recommend using Locktite (or a similar thread locker) to ensure the screws don’t accidentally come loose.

Please also see the below video for a look at how to remove the L-kink:

Oh my heavens!! I just spent a total of two hours on two separate days working to get the dreaded kinks out of my peregrine bracelet. Zero fun sir. However, I was able to get all the kinks out. At some point, I became bound and determined that if I could get kinks in, I could get them out.
On the positive side, I have really enjoyed the watch but it was such a pain getting the kinks out that I am hesitant to wear the watch. I don’t want to risk getting more kinks, while putting it on or taking it off. I really like the Tugela and would like some assurance that the quality of the bracelet is equal to the quality of the watch before pulling the trigger.
