Our first chronograph, the Kruger, pays tribute to the rangers of the Kruger region in Southern Africa. These men and women work tirelessly to protect some of the most endangered animals in the world, in extremely hostile and unforgiving environments. As such, the Kruger is built to handle some serious punishment while not skipping a beat.
Following our characteristic principles for creating tough but affordable tool watches, the Kruger has a highly functional design with unmistakable aviation themes. Form and function meet to create a symmetrical layout, with some very useful features. A 60-minute chronograph counter at 9h is mirrored by a 24-hour sub-dial at 3h. The small seconds sub-dial is neatly integrated with the date at 6h. High contrast hour and minute hands ensure quick, easy time reading. A combination of BGW9 and X1-C3 Superluminova ensure excellent night visibility.
A titanium case and bracelet make for an incredibly light wear, with extreme toughness. Screw down crown and case back give the case an impressive 300m water resistance, while a triple gasket pusher system ensures function at depth. The 120-click uni-directional rotating bezel with ceramic bezel insert (5-55 markings), gives the user the ability to measure timings in both accurate (chronograph function) and more casual situations (divers bezel). On the back of the case is a beautifully moulded white rhino, a nod to the massive efforts of our rangers.
Quick-release pins on the bracelet make changing to the seatbelt nylon zulu strap a breeze. Each Kruger will come default in a nylon MOLLE pouch with a velcro-backed rhino patch.
